What a website costs in Albania in 2026: real price bands, what is included and what is not

In Albania a website costs anything from a phone to a small car. The difference is not in “how pretty”: it is in the texts, languages, functions and what happens after launch.

Greoli Web Agency, Vlorë

What the price depends on

Pages (5 or 50), languages (Albanian only or also written Italian and English), texts (written by you or the agency), photos (yours, stock or a photographer), functions (form, booking engine, property listings, shop, payments), basic SEO (titles, descriptions, speed, Google profile), hosting and domain, training, maintenance. Two “identical” sites with these elements different cost ten times differently.

Band 1: the small presentation site

Five to eight pages (home, services, about, gallery, contact), one language, your texts tidied up, your photos, form and WhatsApp, basic SEO, mobile. For craftsmen, studios, shops, small restaurants. It is the cheapest band; it doubles with three languages written by the agency.

Band 2: the business site in three languages

15-30 pages: services one by one, areas, blog, texts written by the agency in Albanian, Italian and English, professional photos, structured SEO, Google profile, training. For small hotels, clinics, agencies, service companies, exporters. It is the most requested band and the one that brings clients from Google.

Band 3: the site with functions

A hotel with booking engine and channel manager; a real estate agency with listings, filters and CRM; e-commerce with catalogue, payments and delivery; a portal with registration. The cost grows with functions and integrations, and needs higher maintenance. For these, an offer without a function list is worth nothing.

Texts: the hidden cost

The “200 euro” site does not include texts: they ask you to send them, and then the site stays empty for six months. Well-written texts in three languages are half the value of the site: they are what Google ranks and the client reads. Always ask who writes them and in which languages.

Languages

An added written language (not machine-translated) costs a good part of the site: it is new text, not a button. For businesses with foreign clients (tourism, real estate, clinics, export) it is the investment with the highest return: a well-made Italian site appears in Italy.

Photos

Stock photos: free or almost, and clients recognise them. Your phone photos: free, variable quality. A professional photographer for a day: reasonable cost, lasts years and serves all channels. For hotels, restaurants and real estate photos are the product: do not save there.

Hosting, domain, security

Domain in your name, a few dozen euros a year. Good hosting in Europe, a modest yearly cost. A security certificate included. Backups. Whoever offers “free hosting” with the site usually keeps domain and site in their own name: ask.

Maintenance

After launch: system and security updates, backups, small changes (prices, hours, photos), speed checks. A modest monthly fee. A site without maintenance gets hacked or loses positions within the year. The offer must say what maintenance includes and what it costs after the first year.

Timelines

Small site: two to four weeks. Business site in three languages: four to eight weeks (texts are the slow part). Site with functions: six to twelve weeks. Whoever promises “ready in three days” writes no texts and uses the same template for everyone.

Why the cheapest offer costs more

The cheap site with no texts, one language, stock photos, the agency’s domain and no maintenance: it does not appear on Google, brings no clients, gets hacked after a year, and when you want to change it you find it is not yours. You pay twice: the cheap site and the real site a year later. The well-made site costs more once and works for five years.

What the offer must include

The number of pages and their list. Languages and who writes. Photos. Functions. Basic SEO. Google profile. Mobile and speed. Hosting and domain in your name. Training. Maintenance and the cost after year one. A fixed price with VAT. Timelines with phases. If a line is missing, ask; if they do not answer, move on.

How to compare

With the same list. Two offers for “a website” cannot be compared; two offers for “a three-language site, 20 pages, written texts, professional photos, basic SEO, 12 months’ maintenance” can. Add ownership, references and reply time. Choose whoever answers everything.

Three real offers, compared

Offer A: “website 250 euros”: five pages from a template, your texts, one language, stock photos, the agency’s domain, no maintenance. Offer B: “professional site 900 euros”: ten pages, tidied texts, Albanian and translated English, your photos, your domain, first maintenance free. Offer C: “business site 2,500 euros”: 25 pages, texts written in three languages, a photographer, structured SEO, Google profile, training, 12 months’ maintenance. After a year: A does not appear on Google and must be redone; B brings a few Albanian enquiries; C appears in three languages and brings enquiries from Italy. Cost per enquiry after two years: C is the cheapest. The figures are an example; the ratio between them is not.
