The seaside restaurant customer
Not a regular: on holiday, staying a week, searching “seafood restaurant near me”, reading reviews, looking at photos, wanting prices before sitting down. Speaks Italian, Polish, German, English. Decides in five minutes from the beach. The restaurant that meets these needs online gets them; the one that does not, does not, even with the best food.
Google first of all
The Google profile with the exact category (“Seafood restaurant”, “Beach bar”), your own photos, a menu with prices, seasonal hours, fresh reviews. For “restaurant Ksamil” Google shows the map: without a curated profile, you are not there. It is the first job, free, and many Riviera restaurants do not do it.
The site in three languages
Home with the terrace and the sea, hours, phone and WhatsApp, a “Book” button. Menu with photos and prices (fish with the price per kilo stated clearly). Gallery. How to get there (from the beach, from the road, parking). Contact. Albanian, Italian, English, written and not machine-translated. Five pages that appear on Google for “restaurant Dhërmi”, “ristorante Ksamil”, “seafood Himara”.
Clear prices
Foreign tourists fear the inflated bill: they read about it on TikTok. Visible prices on the digital menu, on Google and on the site, with fish by the kilo and an example (“fish 3,500 lek/kg, a portion about 400 g”), reassure them and bring them in. A hidden price sends them next door where it is shown.
Instagram at the right hour
Stories at 12 pm (lunch from the beach) and 6 pm (dinner): the fresh dish, terrace tables, the sunset. Posts with dishes, people, the sea. Beach and area hashtags. Tagged location. DMs answered within minutes in three languages. Creators passing through the Riviera: a dinner in exchange for a video.
WhatsApp booking
For most seaside restaurants WhatsApp is enough: the number visible everywhere, WhatsApp Business with ready replies in three languages, someone answering even at peak hour. For large restaurants, a booking system with a calendar that avoids phone calls.
Beach bar and sunbeds
If you also have the beach: a page for sunbeds and umbrellas with prices, day booking, packages (sunbed + lunch). Searches like “beach bar Ksamil”, “sunbeds Dhërmi” have high value. Beach photos in the morning, before it fills up.
The season
April: site and Google profile updated with seasonal hours and menu, new photos. May-September: stories every day, ads to tourists in town, reviews requested at the end of every meal. October: thanks, archive, next year’s offers for groups and events. Winter: an area blog (“the beaches of Himara”, “what to eat in Sarandë”) bringing traffic for summer.
Reviews in three languages
QR code on the bill for Google and TripAdvisor; the waiter’s request in the customer’s language; replies within 48 hours. Italians read Italian reviews: those weigh more for them. A restaurant with 4.6 and 800 reviews in three languages fills tables without discounts.
The mistakes of seaside restaurants
A site only in Albanian. A menu without prices. A Google profile with winter hours in July. Stock photos of fish. Instagram silent at lunchtime. WhatsApp unanswered from the beach. Reviews never requested. The profile switched off in October. Each of these sends the tourist next door.
Example: a fish restaurant in Dhërmi
Before: a neglected Google profile with winter hours, Instagram with 300 followers and flash photos, no website, prices only on paper. Tourists found it by chance passing by. After: a Google profile with the “Seafood restaurant” category, 40 photos, a menu with prices in three languages; a five-page site in Albanian, Italian and English; Instagram with stories at 12 and 6 pm and DMs in three languages; a QR code for reviews. In one season: 350 new reviews, page one on Google for “ristorante Dhermi” and “seafood Dhermi”, 40% of bookings via WhatsApp originating from Google and Instagram. Same prices, full tables even in June and September.
Groups and excursions
Seaside restaurants also earn from groups: coach excursions, boats stopping for lunch, beach weddings, company parties. A “groups and events” page with fixed menus per person, capacity, event photos, a request form. Contact with travel agencies and boat operators in Sarandë and Vlorë: one group lunch is worth a day of tables.
Wi-Fi, payments, staff languages
Foreign tourists expect Wi-Fi to view the menu and post, card payment (shown on Google and the site), and at least one person who speaks English or Italian. These are not marketing, but without them the nice photos and the three-language site bring customers who leave unhappy and write negative reviews. Site and profile must show only what the restaurant really does.
Frequently asked questions

For a seaside restaurant with foreign tourists yes: the indexable menu with prices in three languages is what decides.

Albanian, Italian, English. Polish or German if your market requires it.
How long does it take?
Four to six weeks, ideally in winter for the summer.
Are the existing photos enough?
You need natural-light photos of dishes, terrace and sea: one shooting day in May.
