A website for resorts and holiday villages in Albania: the structure that sells packages

A resort sells more than a room: it sells a week. The site must show that week, day by day, and make it bookable.

Greoli Web Agency, Vlorë

The difference from a hotel

A hotel guest looks for a room for three nights. A resort guest looks for a week with the family: food, beach, entertainment, kids busy, no driving around. The site must answer this question: “what will we do every day?”. The structure follows the week, not the room.

The home page

A video or large photo showing the whole resort: beach, pools, buildings. Three or four reasons to choose this resort (all inclusive, private beach, kids’ club, spa). A package booking engine with dates and number of people. Current offers. Reviews. Everything in three languages with a visible selector.

Accommodation

One page per type: standard room, family room, suite, villa, bungalow. Photos, size, capacity, view, amenities, price from. For families: how many children, extra beds, kitchen if any. Engine filters: sea view, for four people, with private pool.

Food

Restaurants and bars with photos, hours, cuisine type, children’s options, allergies and diets, breakfast. If you are all inclusive, what is included and what is not, clearly: it is the Italian tourist’s first question. Sample menus in three languages.

Activities and entertainment

Kids’ club with hours and ages, water sports, gym, spa, excursions (Butrint, Gjirokastër, Sazan, Corfu), evenings. A “one week with us” page with the daily programme: that is what convinces the family. Photos with real people doing things.

Beach and location

The beach: private or public, sand or pebbles, sunbeds included, distance from rooms. A map with distances from Tirana airport, Vlorë port, Corfu, Sarandë. How to get there: organised transfer, car, ferry. For foreign tourists this page decides.

Groups, events, weddings

Resorts also earn off-season with weddings, conferences, sports groups, school trips. One page per type: halls, capacity, packages, photos of past events, a quote request form. Searches like “beach wedding Albania”, “conference resort Durrës” have no competition.

Package booking

The engine must sell packages (7 nights all inclusive for 2 adults + 2 children), not just rooms, with a clear total price, deposit, cancellation. For groups and agencies, a dedicated form. Payment by card, PayPal or transfer. Direct offers (kids free, seventh night free) visible.

Seasonality and calendar

Seasonal prices visible on the site: tourists plan in January for August. An “early booking offers” page from November, “September offers” from June, “winter” for groups and events. A blog with area guides for year-round traffic.

Three languages and markets

Albanian for the local market and Kosovo (families arriving by car), Italian for Italy (ferries from Bari and Brindisi), English for Poland, Germany, Scandinavia, the UK. Each market has its own offer and entry page. Contact: WhatsApp, phone, form, all answered in the guest’s language.

The page for agencies and tour operators

Resorts in Albania sell a large share through Italian, Polish and Czech tour operators. A site area for agencies: a catalogue of room types with downloadable high-resolution photos, floor plans, service lists, contracts, the sales contact, password access to reserved rates. An agency that finds everything on the site works better with you and sells more. It is a page big resorts have and Albanian ones almost never.

Speed and technology for a large site

A resort site has hundreds of photos and several videos: without optimisation it opens in ten seconds and loses the tourist. Photos compressed in modern formats, videos hosted on external platforms, lazy loading for images below the fold, caching, fast hosting in Europe. The booking engine must open inside the site, not in a slow window. Tested every week on mobile with a mobile connection.

Low-season content

From October to April the resort site must not switch off. A blog on winter excursions (Gjirokastër, Berat, Butrint without crowds), offers for groups and events, spring weddings, conferences, spa weekends. Early booking for summer with a discount until March. Google sees a site active all year as more relevant than one that wakes up in June.
